2007                 

In Chile, a pilot plant of a Constructed Wetland developed by BioPlanta begins operation. In one of the world's biggest copper mines, this plant is used to treat contaminated process water.

 

2006

BioPlanta takes over management and controlling for the restoration project in a former tar processing site in Rositz, Thuringia.

 

2005

BioPlanta receives another award, this time the Innovation Prize from the Free State of Saxony. 

 

2003

BioPlanta is the first tenant to move into BIO CITY in Leipzig and starts production of active substances conforming to GMP for the pharmaceutical industry.

 

2001

BioPlanta builds Constructed Wetlands for small farmers in Lima, Peru, for the cleaning of waste water which is then used for agricultural irrigation.

  

2000

BioPlanta is awarded with the Leipzig Innovation Prize by the City of Leipzig for the development of bioreactor technology which enables the production of plant-active compounds of a one-of-a-kind quality.

 

2000

BioPlanta develops a plant and process concept for the treatment of contaminated leachate in Constructed Wetlands for uranium mining.   

 

1999

BioPlanta founds its subsidiary, WASAG DECON GmbH, which, together with WASAG CHEMIE Sythen, develops an innovative in situ remediation process for contaminated sites of the military. 

 

1998

BioPlanta organizes a symposium concerning "Waste water cleaning and sewage sludge cleaning with plants" with world-class guests from research and business.   

 

1996

BioPlanta´s first international trade fair appearance at the Aqua-Tech trade fair in Amsterdam; this is followed by many others.

 

1994

BioPlanta increases in size and moves to new laboratories in Delitzsch near Leipzig.

 

1993

The first major project begins: the former sewage sludge dewatering plant in Schladitz will be remediated by 2012 and transformed into a wetland habitat.

Foundation of the BioPlanta GmbH in Leipzig
