Waste water treatment for irrigation in Durango, Mexico

Up to today in the north-Mexican city Durango, pre-treated municipal waste water has been hygienized by chlorination at a conventional water treatment plant for later utilization in irrigating fields.

To avoid further impairments of ground water and vegetation by chlorides, BioPlanta has designed plans for biological hygienization of waste water. Moreover, the plans also include enhancement of the treatment capacity of the whole plant.
